Aw, poor you. XD Though, I do know the feeling - it's like every single time I am busy and should be doing everything but being on LJ/computer, it's where I still am. Like now when I should already be sleeping, I have an early morning tomorrow... XD;; Anyway, about the present for your friend, a gift certificate is always a good choice when your inspiration fails you, right? XD That's what I did the last time my friend had a birthday and I couldn't think of a present.
